We call it "Low-cost" some may call it "Cheap" either way, these are the top 3 spots to get the most bang for your buck in San Diego! Make sure to read up on #3 for the best "Low-cost" deal in Downtown San Diego!
1. Tavern+Bowl East Village Since it's Football season we're starting off with a bar that you can watch all the games at and not break the bank if you want to have a couple drinks. Tavern+Bowl East Village boasts a wall of TVs plus one giant screen to show the featured game of the day and a nice open bar with various arcade games and 12 lanes of bowling. We feature their Sunday Happy Hour below but don't miss out on Wednesdays when they have $4.00 Well Drinks, Wine, and Draft Beer from 3PM to 11PM!
Days: Sunday Happy Hour: 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM Special: $4 Budweiser, Mich Ultras, Bud Lights | $5 Mimosas & Bloody Mary's | $7 Mai Tais, Tequila Sunrises, and Blue Hawaiians (from 3PM to 11PM)
2. R place Sports bar and Grill Sticking with the sports bar theme, R place Sports bar and Grill, next to the Padres Stadium, has some great daily happy hour specials. If you've walked out of a Padres game at the 10th street exit this season you've seen R place's signs for $5 Bud Light and $5 Fireball, one of the best deals downtown, especially so close to the stadium. This bar has multiple TVs to watch any football or playoff baseball game and even a little outdoor patio area if you'd like to breathe in the downtown fresh air while people watching. They do have a food happy hour for $10 an item. Can't go wrong with their quesadilla, nachos, or wings.
Days: Everyday Happy Hour: 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM Special: $5 Bud light, Coors light | $6 Mexican Lager, Hazy IPA, Any Well Drink or Wine | $7 Jack Daniels, House Margarita, Titos, Jameson | $8 Vodka Redbull
3. American Junkie Really saving the cheapest for last. If you can find a better happy hour than this in Downtown San Diego then please DM us on Instagram @hhmaps because we need to know. American Junkie is technically a sports bar as well, but really turns into a night club starting around 10PM, which perfectly aligns with the end of this Happy Hour. I can't give you any food suggestions because we didn't eat much while attending this Happy Hour but I can say their menu lists $1 Pizza slices and with $1 Beers you just may need those slices!
